British Car Display August 2015 Sydney

All British Day 2015

On Sunday the 30th August 2015 I ventured out to see the 'All British Day' at  Kings School 87-129 Pennant Hills Rd, North Parramatta NSW 2151.
It was a traditional school gala / fair day with an extensive car display which I was there for. There was over 50 car clubs representing most British brands current and past.
The cost was $5 per car and there was plenty of parking for visitors. Although it was tricky to get in and out of the entrance as it is an extremely busy road.

To check out the history of the “All British Display Day” follow the link below:

The car display was enormous and combined with brilliant weather turned out to be a great display.
The cars were setout on the rear of the school fields, and took quite some time to walk through.

There was food and book stalls within the main halls. And at the front field there was carnival style rides / vendors. With Carnival food like candy floss / hot food / donuts etc

A few pics of the cars on display are as follows:

                                         'E' type jag

They had a double decker red bus doing loops of the grounds for a coin donation, and due to the size of the event was very worth while to get a good overview of what was on display.

2 door Mk1 escort                                          Aston martin owners club

RS owners club attended with there regular members.
This is a RS500 2 door sierra cosworth in the team Eggenberger Texaco livery, immaculately presented.

2 door sierra cosworth, this car looked like it has RS500 piping and turbo, with the water rail and looked very tidy.

2wd Sierra Sapphire Cosworth, looks standard, and again immaculate.

                                                              Morris minor wagon

Mini and mark 1 lotus cortina

This escort was very interesting, it had a 2 litre pinto with quad bike carburetors and aluminium aftermarket radiator, remote clutch and brake reservoirs eluding to probably a aftermarket pedal box , and also take note of the aftermarket headlights. Engine bay is very clean considering its a white engine bay.

A regular at most ford meets, this patina'ed MK2 Cortina is very original.

This 2 door sierra cosworth was parked up among some of the other escorts and I thought it was a replica RS500, with the graphics , double rear wing. It had a lot of chrome aftermarket parts in the engine bay and tinted rear lights. It someone reading this knows the car please add a comment to let me know if it is a replica or not. It had a larger turbo probably a T04, but no 8 injector plenum. And I did not check the interior to see if it had a build number plaque.

Engine bay with all its chrome parts, may appeal to some. It is not to my taste however. And if it was a real RS500 seems a shame to not put it back to original.

Mk3 2 litre sport capri on injected brooklands wheels it looks like.

Heavily modified mk2 escort also another regular refer to my write up on the following link for more information on this car:

Mk1 2 door escort in some 80's style livery almost tiger stripes, which were very popular.

GT mark 1 cortina

Ford Prefect van, very rare in Australia

Every colour of the rainbow mini

Triump Dolomite Sprint, this car grabbed my attention with the flared guards and ducktail spoiler.

The land rovers were out in force similiar to the mini's with almost every model and colour on show

A few English bikes were on show as well.

Mk2 ford escort 2 door

Some unfinished project cars were on display as well.

At the front of the school grounds they had a superhero show involving kids from within the audience which looked very professional.

Overall a massive dsiplay of cars and well presented school grounds. Highly recommend attending if your interested in British cars. Suitable for kids and families as well. It is also worth noting that there was a small swapmeet as well, mainly just reproduction signs but also some other worthwhile stalls like window rubber companies etc.
