All Ford Day Newcastle Part 1

On Sunday the 8th September 2013 I attended the Newcastle All ford day, located right on the waters edge at the end of the Newcastle Foreshore, about 2.5 hours drive from Sydney for me.

It was an overcast day, with light rain every now and again and what a great show. High numbers considering its Newcastle, the main field was spilling into the adjacent fields.

When we were there they had raffles / food stalls / clothing and nick knack's , even had a Elvis impersonator!

Now for the pics and cars..

This was a totally custom fastback mustang, completely custom interior very chip foose inspired, the wheels were very trick with large offset rears, they looked one off custom made, I am not a mustang fanatic but it looked like the original mustang GT350 10 spoke wheel shapes but made into one piece and probably in the region of 18 inch upwards. (See pics further into the post)

This was the Ziggys Warhorse Mustang, very American pro-street style see link to video below on u-tube

4 door mk2 with a factory 2 litre, I thought this was a pretty cool package, this one was in need of some TLC but very solid

mk 1 RS3100 capri and GT Mk2 Cortina's out in force

Clean 3 door that looked fairly immaculate up close

A couple of mk1 cortina's

This was an original Mk 2 Crayford Cortina very little km's on it

Thames panel van

Ford Prefect was immaculate on 13 inch modgies

A pair of RS2000 mk1 Escort 2 doors

Escort Cosworth, looks like a early large turbo model (someone can confirm) , had bosch 803's , strut brace , stainless tanks / heatshield , morettes etc

Mk3 Escort RS Turbo, pretty rare over here in NSW , Australia

MK3 capri sport was very tidy 4 spoke wheels, looked lowered an inch or so.

XYGT Falcon & XC Cobra Falcon

Late model supercharged Cobra Mustang

More Falcons...

This falcon had done some extensive rallies etc

Sundowner panel van was awesome original 6 cylinder

More Falcons and AC Cobra replica

Tickford spec XR6 falcon was very tidy
